SAT.1 legend “Judge Alexander Hold” has cancer – “Operation will be challenging”





Alexander Hold became known throughout Germany on SAT.1. Now the TV star and politician is suffering from cancer, as he has made it official.

Dortmund – From 2001 to 2013, SAT.1 showed the popular court show “Judge Alexander Hold” with the lawyer of the same name in the central role. After running for Federal President in 2017, the politician is now Vice President of the State Parliament for the Free Voters in Bavaria. Now he has made his cancer official.

“Judge Alexander Hold” has cancer – he makes the illness public for two reasons

Despite his cancer and the difficult operation, Alexander Hold is confident. “I generally have a very good immune system and a positive attitude. And as with any situation in life, you grow through challenges,” the politician announced.

Hold also gave a total of two reasons for making his illness public. On the one hand, as a member of the state parliament, he wanted to show openness and inform voters why he would not be present for a while. On the other hand, he wanted to use his illness as an appeal to encourage others to seek preventive care.

According to the German Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in Germany. Meanwhile, the chances of survival are high: “Over 90% of all sufferers are still alive after 5 years,” it continues.
